Using "posts since last visit" is a handy way of quickly viewing the forum, I realise that most of you use it, but there are drawbacks to it.
There are public sections, private sections and more.
That is not immediately apparent when using "posts since last visit" as you do not see what category or forum you are in . If in doubt then go to "FORUM INDEX" first which is at the top of every page you look at and then select the Category or forum you wish to post or reply in.
Another drawback when using "posts since last visit" is that you may not remember where the topic was, if that is the case then you should subscribe to the topic, you will then know if any new posts are posted to that topic, that option is available at the top of every post and looks like the following image:
You can activate Automatic Subscriptions in your Control Panel - Settings - Activate automatic subscription:
When activated you automatically subscribe to all topics you reply to.
You can also view your subscriptions in your Control panel - Subscriptions.
