We never had interest in meets down south, I think Aherlow Co Tipperary was as far south as we held a meet and then over 90% of those attending were north of the venue. Maybe now is the time to give it another go as that was a few years ago, we have a lot of new members since so who knows it might be a success, there is only one way to know. Is there some kind of a meeting room available there?

What about organising one ?
I wouldn’t mind going south for a few days and taking in a meet.
Be good to get a good meet together down south......

I love the idea of a meet down south.

That's a lovely campsite too, we spent two nights there earlier in the year and it's well worth it.

We visited the bar when we were there in August. Looks great after the refurb. Had a wee nosey upstairs and you've done a grand job.

I am a big fan of Goosey island and have visited in all seasons.. A great initiative.. I had a 6 meter van and remember it being a little tight f om the church square down to the entrance ..I recently changed my van to. 8.5 meter ..Will I fit down ..Any one using a longer van had any difficulty in that right handed down to the gate ?

I shouldn't see why not, I went with a 7.4 metre van. Didn't notice any issues.

Quite tight alright but do able, friend of mine navigated it with a Burstner tag axle with a Trike on a trailer behind, he had to make a number of manoeuvres but it was the trailer that was getting caught

Are trikes really big in Sneem or something Pat? When we stayed in Gosey last year, we saw a few couples on trikes rock in to town. I never really considered that I might like to ride a motorcycle for real one day until I noticed those bikes

It was a Club meet Jason, It was their first time holding a meet there. I didn't know he was going there or he didn't know I was going. getting back to his problem getting in there, the problem was at the church, not where you turn right down to the site.
