Please Note .........Speed limits have changed in France, 90 kmh on secondary roads are reduced to 80 , if you are driving in Europe on an ___U.K.___ licence from March you will need an international driving permit for Europe even if you hold an Irish passport. An English passport must be valid for more than 6 months ahead of your return otherwise it could cause problems for embarking . No doubt there will be more to follow such as the old green card etc.

No change for ROI drivers except the speed limit is for all

That Right folks, in France be vigilant on minor roads if you dont want to be caught on the camera... If you are south of the border and going to the continent no change, but if you are heading north or over to the UK then unless there is an agreement ,then things will change . People like myself who have spent a working life in the UK and now like to stroll around the old sod ,will shortly have to check all my documents as I transverse the border every other day. Intnational driving permits can be got from Main Post Offices if you are a UK licence holder
