Slideout...

Hi all, phew.... after a few hours, removal, bashed knuckles, strip down, repair and reinstalation, more bashed knuckles, the bedroom slide out is doing what it should...sliding out and, more importantly, sliding back in !!! Never was there a more true saying than "the more there is , the more there is to go wrong" ! Turned out to be a bearing that had worked loose and was binding on the track (must"ve been doing it for a while) until it became siezed when I needed to put the slide room back in and the only way to get at it was to totally strip it .Anyhow, just saying, if anyone wants advice on a slide out mechanism, I"m yer" fella, ha ha P.S. Thank f... it didn"t happen in France......!

Thanks mate, next time I"ll give you a shout, as I said, it was a bugger and very heavy. I had visions of it being worse (very expensive) than it was, just goes to show that some times you just have to get "stuck in" ! Oh yeah, and take photos so you know what goes where..!!
