The area seems to be sparse on campsites, anyone able to tell me what the nearest one is?

Nothing close on the app. Lough Ree campsite is north but the Lough Boora Inn is listed for parking.

We have stayed at the Lough Bora Inn on two occasions ,check in with the bar no problem. its a small carpark so tuck yourself in to the fare corner away from the bar.

You can park for a fee but not overnight ( you might steel the white lines or maybe the bog )
