Confused.com

Entering co-ordinates into Satnav for Stradbally Hall C.O Laois.

Google earth gives: N53.00.38.53 W7.08.52.86

But the Satnav wants to start with a 0 or a 1 on the west co ord.

Any idea's

It seems to stem form Google Earth, when I get the co-ords from there, there are to many digits for the satnav.

Some folks just arrived at our Cl and said the co-ords are wrong, I got them from google earth.

Anyone shed any light?

Never managed to get my head around this.

Our satnav can take Degrees Minutes Second or Decimal Degrees or Decimal Minutes

I've tried them all, nothing ever worked, perhaps i should have listened more at school

There are different formats for different sat nav systems. If you need to check manually go here: http://www.poieditor.com/

and put in the POI in question, then convert it to your sat nav format, and download it back to your computer (of course you can also convert a whole POI database if you can load it onto your device too). If you compare the before and after results you should see how to enter co-ords for your own system.
