Blockade of french fuel refinaries

As you have come to expect, the french farmers will blockade fuel refinaries from 10th to 13th of June to protest about something.
As in previous years it will probably not cause too much grief for us motorhomers, but probably sensible to keep topped up.

Don't knock them ( the French ) ,if the rest of us took a leaf from their guide book , we too might be able to do something about fuel price, and stupid government regulations,
Just think, why exactly do we need to have trucks driving around on weekends,?

To have trucks driving here on a Sunday, means that mommy can say to her kids during their Sunday afternoon gaunt to the local shopping centre that the white bread for Monday's lunchtime will be the freshest available on Sunday afternoon. God forbid should she get up that early on a Monday morning.
On a serious note the French farmers are pretty militant but in most cases, they are right to kick their government in the hoop on occasion. We are gone soft after a hundred years of independence.

I have been caught out a few times in France with various blockades and protests. During a fuel tanker drivers strike years ago it took me a while to discover that the lorry’s were parked in front of direction signs in towns. The striking drivers gave a cheery wave as you went past and then another cheery wave as you went past again trying to find your way out of the town. On the verge of running out of fuel I spoke with the local gendarmes who escorted me to the one and only petrol station in the area that had fuel. A few years ago I was held up for a couple of hours by the farmers strike where at the point they were stopping on the motorway they has a party atmosphere going on with burger stalls and barbecues lit

My way around that problem would be to take my Holliday somewhere else where I would be appreciated and made welcome, just like we did last year.
We went to France as a couple to try and do it the French way but quickly realised that it was not working for us so headed for Spain ,they really know how to welcome tourists and we had a ball .
No guesses for where we are going next time.
