Planning a trip to West Cork suggestions please

We're planning a trip to West Cork, leaving Dublin on Monday 28th or Tuesday 29th. We'll be in Baltimore for some or all of the Bank Holiday weekend. 7 to 10 nights.

So we'll be in Baltimore, we'll check out Eyeries and Goosey Island (I know it's in Kerry).

Open to suggestions.

Mizen Head, If the weather is good, is well worth a visit. Some lovely views, nice little walks, albeit quite steep some of them. A fine display there and a cracking little cafe/restaurant. It is also a good overnight stop

If you are into things megalithic then you could check out the Drombeg stone circle. Its about 30km form Baltimore towards Cork. the car park has a height barrier but you can part just outside the entrance.

West Cork is beautiful and there are loads of places and things to do.
County Cork has really exploited the Wild Atlantic Way as a promotion. I believe that there is an WAW app developed to give localised info based of your location.
However, a word of caution, some of the best locations are on very rural roads, so really you have to decide if you are up for driving on those roads?

Don't think Malcolm was questioning your driving skills, it is that some of those roads on the www are not suitable for Motorhomes because there is grass growing down the center of the roads and the bushes and briars will be scraping both sides of your Motorhome. they really need to cut back the hedges or warn Motorhome owners of the suitability of some of these roads for larger vehicles.

In 2015, we done west cork as our main summer break, although it was in a car and caravan, our last trip before mh purchase.
The amount of motorhomes that we saw that were not able to progress at a reasonable pace due to conditions described like above, because of the rural nature of the roads.
Couple this with lunatic foreign drivers in rental cars, the conditions become worse.
At no stage did I intend to question anyone's ability to drive but to inform people that rural driving in west Cork can be stressful.
I will pull out the map later and post a few suggestions.

No slight taken. Every lorry that laid a tarmac road is usually bigger than the average motor home / camper. I do try avoid dual cabbageways.

Dursey Island cable car and you can now stop at the Lehanmore community center nearby it's on the app
Helens Bar in Kilmakilloge, Co. Kerry, Co. Kerry near Lauragh on the R573 to Kenmare good grub, carpark across the road, it's on the app as Kilmakilloge Pier.

Dursey island is a earlish morning job. When a certain number travelling across is reached, the cable cart will not bring anymore across for that day. Just wondering, was a toilet fitted on the island in recent years.

I don't think so,I was there last year and from memory the only toilets were at the control station in the carpark.
