If so? then the feed from tank to it may be airlocked if it is fed from top of the tank, or possibly one of the non return valves is stuck open. The pump requires water pressure to shut off so sounds like it isn’t being fed this causing it to run continuously.
Is there air at the taps when open?.
A few tests on the pump from a known feed would definitely rule the pump serviceable or not.
These pumps require a pressure to be senced/reached before they will stop pumping as already said.
So it's either not pumping water - disconnect the supply side at the pump and see what's coming out
Water spewing out suggest feed/suction side not blocked and it's the pressure sensor not working.
No water as stated above feed side blockage or the pump housing might be cracked so it's sucking air.
Think u can get repair kits but not absolutely sure.
