Have an Android phone? Try Google Pay it is amazing. I've been using it a long time, used to be Android Pay, its now revamped. Stores your cards and store cards, no need for your wallet anymore. No need for cash :)

Before you do, click this link, get yourself a free £10 and give me £10 for referring you ;)

Click this link: (totally legit) http://g.co/paypromo/GFYH4CPW

Been using it a while
Very handy,
I thought it was only €30 contactless tap you get in one transaction,

Very handy one day when in tesco or similar big shop and left the wallet MH

You load up your CC details into the application and use the phone's NFC sensors to pay as you were using your contact-less card...

That's the very simplified version of it.

Just to add:

You can use credit or Debit cards, you can add store cards like Nectar and tesco Clubcard, so no need to carry any of those either. it uses/looks like a fake number on your card for security. Your card/s does not have to be contactless to become contactless with the App.

Great for pubs!! no more looking for money, no more looking for cards, no more change in your pocket when you look (sheepishly) the next morning, quicker than cash. Just flash the app and good to go :)

I’m a cash man myself. Can’t be doing with all this cashless society. Soon there will be no real cash around to do a deal with anyone. Down with this sort of thing I say 😜

I have had Google Pay for a while and with all this chat about it I had a look to see if I had more cards to add.

I initiated one of my store cards had some odd looking code below it containing the wording "Pushto ken. Ken was on a second line.
I thought I had been hacked and was sending my points to Ken.
After a while I realised it said "pushtoken' which makes more sense.

Daft or what? LOL

One of the few banks that don't do it. It's a shame because it's a fabulous technology. Should be mandatory for these banks to support it.

I'm a bit late to this conversation but I've been using Google pay for a couple of months but always for smaller purchases. Then last week we had a meal and the bill came to £33 so I assumed I would probably have to do the Pin thing when I went to pay. The girl at the bar didn't know so she did the touch thing and it worked. So my question, does anybody know if there is an upper limit on this? My phone is set up to unlock with my fingerprint, which I think is a significant part of this app.

As far as I am aware the upper limit is set by the merchant

It's a little unnerving. My son told me you don't even have to open the app. Just unlock the phone.

I assumed it was £30 limit, that's all I have been able to use it for so far.

Found this

"Enter a store of your choice, turn on your smartphone screen and tap it on the reader and you'll be able to make any payment up to $30 or £30. If you want to make a higher payment, you can just unlock your phone itself and then tap it on the contactless reader."

Makes sense. I was surprised when I was told it was £30 limit as it's the same as using your card when you have to use a Pin or fingerprint.

This makes sense, it's exactly what I did at the restaurant as i didn't know the rules, but looks like this is the only way over the £30.

I've being using google pay for a while now, I have paid for shopping in Dunnes stores for nearly 90 euro, no problem. I bank with N26 bank. don't tell the cashier just hold the phone unlocked to the contactless machine for a few seconds, job done.
