My friend and myself will be travelling from Holyhead to Dublin Port early June and we were wondering if anyone could recommend a legal and safe stop over. We will be travelling towards Galway for the first few days.

We look forward to any advice available,

Thank you.

Mary

There is an app called "motorhome parking Ireland ", link HERE, available for a fiver. It has 800 stopovers including campsites, aires, local pubs/ clubs and public parking spots.
Most of the locations have a review attached to the info.

Concur with Malcolm, get the APP and it opens up the Island with stops, sites and Aires. You’ll save the cost on the first night.
Keep us updated with your travels once you arrive ...... I’m sure members from that side of the country will answer any specific questions you may have.

And welcome aboard motorhomecraic, enjoy your stay.

The APP is the way to go Mary, check back here when you have more concrete plans and you might get some advice on off the beaten track attractions you could otherwise miss. Enjoy your trip
