Hello , this is our first motor home and we plan to .come to Ireland 17september for a week , we are going to visit a friend in Kilmore quay , we wonder do you know of a place to stay for a couple of nights. We want to make our way to do the ring of Kerry . As our home is 25ft long should we follow the coaches round , as we have heard we would not want to meet them approaching us as roads are narrow... Also any advice on stop overs or nice msites ,,thank you xx Pam

Hi Pamela.

As far as I am aware all traffic on the ring of Kerry must travel in a clockwise direction during the summer months.

Kilmore Quay is from what I hear a great spot to stay, there is a spot on our usermap for it. Dave (eirebus) stays there regularly somewhere, maybe he can advise.

it is not a "must do" but it is advisable to do so.

Kilmore Quay is a brilliant place to stay..you have parking down along the seafront, so safe, and quite possibly one of the nicest chippers too, the Saltee Chipper :-)

depending on time etc you should do the coast road from tramore,co waterford to dungarvan.
between annestown & bunmahon there are laybys where its ok to stay overnight.
enjoy your trip.
