Dundonald Ice Bowl - Jordanstown Caravan Park - Carrickfergus Aire

All require a bus or taxi.

Welcome at ours, but its a bit of a taxi fare home.

I need to attend a meeting in Belfast near City Hall. Is it possible to find parking there for a few hours for a 5.7 m long, 3 m tall motorhome? I'm happy to pay £15 or so. Any more than that, it's probably better to just spend a night at Dundonald and take a bus in.

It would make more sense to use the Park and Ride at Sprucefield ( assuming you are approaching from the south) and take the bus in. At least the bus would drop you fairly close to the city hall. Any other parking spaces in the city will still mean getting a bus if you want a van sized space. You can buy your tickets in advance using the M-link app. It will be less than £15 for the bus for sure and the car park is free. Takes about 15-20 mins to get in depending on the time of day.

Similarly there is a park and ride on the saintfield road, at its junction with purdysburn road, Belfast which is on the south east side of the city with a good bus service. Probably a bit closer to the city. Slightly further out just before Carryduff there appears to be a new campsite associated with an activity centre. It is called let’s go hydro (on google maps) close to bus service.

Another option would be to use the car park at the Odessey Arena. It costs about £1 per hour up to 4hours and then reduces slightly thereafter.

The walk from the car park to the City Hall is about 2km so will take 30/40 minutes depending on how you hit the lights at the pedestrian crossings.

The bus from Sprucefield takes about 30minutes during rush hour and 20 minutes the rest of the day. It is about a 10minute walk from Belfast Europa bus station to the City Hall. Bus frequency is variable but typically every 20/30 minutes, but sometimes longer in middle of the day. Worth checking on the Translink website. Bus stop name is Blaris, Sprucefield P&R

Thanks all! Such good advice and so quickly!

I like the sound of Odyssey Arena and walking, if the weather is good.

Looked it up and that would be the Cairnshill Park & Ride.

I went with Sprucefield Park and Ride. Free parking. £6.40 return bus fare. Very easy. Thanks y'all!
