South from Bilbao

We are off to Bilbao next week.
We have driven South from Bilbao twice on the AP68, but both times we did U-turns leaving the city as we found the roads confusing, even using our Sat nav.
We are thinking of taking the A8 towards Santander and then the A67 to Vallodolid.
Has anyone used the A67 in Winter?
OK or snowy?

Gives you current weather conditions or closures on roads all over spain and accidents. The route you talk about is clear now and the north of spain got a bad spell of weather past few days. The Main highways are always pretty much grand unless real bad weather and high passes

Just did the drive. Much easier than going South from Bilbao

We are now on Costa del Sol, rain today,but only one more forecasted in next 14.
