You probably all know that The West Lodge Hotel in Bantry welcomes motorhomes to park in a designated area for €10 per 24 hours.

General Manager Pat Gill has put together a fantastic C&W event over the May Bank Holiday Weekend 2018.
Pat has booked Clíona Hagen, TR Dallas, Declan Nearney and other top class artists for the weekend.

The admission price of €135 includes parking and entrance to all the events of the weekend for two adults (children under 16 are free). Additional persons over 15 will be charged at €50 for the weekend.
For those unfortunate enough to be able to attend only two or one night the price is €120 & €75 respectively.

Access to the hotels leisure centre will be available at a discounted price.

At the hotel itself there will be approximately 60 hard standing places with addition spaces at the adjacent Bantry House. There is no upper limit to the number of motorhomes which can be accommodated but the hard standing spaces closest to the hotel will be allocated on a first come first served basis. So get your booking in early.

See the attached brochure for full list of events and booking details.
Please contact the West Lodge Hotel directly for further information and bookings.

BTW, the R586 between Bandon and Scart is a very suitable road despite the fact that some satnavs may indicate the N71 via Skibbereen.

Sounds like a good idea. Might be a trip to consider. Is the EHU included in the price?

Oh. I see. €10 fee to simply park up. I'd imagine that the MH'ing crowd would be having dinner, few beers etc and spending far and above a tenner so I'm surprised at the fee. Anyways, each to their own.

I think it is great value for a safe nights parking in a great location coupled with the discounted use of the leisure centre. it beats me how people expect 24hr parking for less. We will never get overnight parking anyplace if we expect it for nothing, remember the hotel is paying public liability for its property and that alone don't come cheap, We should realise when we have a good thing going and be thankful.

Nobody is disputing your statement about the parking arrangements being suitable and safe. I know myself that within 10km of where I live there's two hotels/bars which offer overnight safe parking for a 10 euro fee which is waived as soon as the MH'ers purchase a meal or a few rounds of drink. Perhaps that has my opinion of Bantry Hotel biased. No harm in expressing a point of view I hope. Like I said, each to their own.

The free version only lists campsites and Aires. If you pay the £4:59 per year for the full version you get hundreds of POIs . Well worth it in my opinion.

Glenmalure lodge is one and the Beehive is another. Both serve hot food and Glenmalure in particular is a lively area at the weekends. I'm unsure if they are on the app.

Glenmalure lodge is fabulous. Bands or ballets on the Saturday night . Food is the best around. Safe spot, nice walks and always a few campers for company. Been there loads of times ,but never visited the beehive.

Yes they are both on the App.
The Beehive could be lonely.
Glenmalure don't be in a hurry going to bed, veery lively spot most weekends.

In case there is a misunderstanding.
The €10 does not apply for the C&W weekend, parking is included n the price.
At other times the €10 provides private secure parking in a quiet area and access to the toilets etc at the hotel.

Just bumping this topic.

Booking are now coming in to the West Lodge Hotel and there is a limited amount of hard standing space within the hotel's own motorhome parking area.
Once that space is full later bookings will be assigned space in overflow areas, which while being 'close by' will not be in the motorhome parking area itself.

Pat Gill, the General manager of The west Lodge Hotel is putting a lot into the event, so please support. It will be a showcase of motorhoming in West Cork.
