We'll be there too! Maybe you could bring a Craic sticker and I could pay there?
I'm showing my age here but was the Campervan field a madhouse of 20 year olds last year? Or more families? We are bringing our wee girl with us and hoping to get a bit of sleep each night!

We are going too, it has always been a lot quieter than the general camping area and if you think you are showing your age we will have at least one of the grandkids with us!

Just to check, what are the restrictions for campervans at festivals? From a previous post gas seems to be fine at Stendhal.
Looking at the FAQs on the website, no glass bottles allowed so I assume that means cans only into the festival site? No knifes even in campers? Do they check these things?
Don't want to be sent to the naughty step, at least not straight away anyway!!

Never had van searched going into Stendhal but as always at a festival it is a criteria for entry so you can be.
Gas, glass, cutlery etc will be fine in your van. It's one of those festivals that you are not supposed to bring your own drink in. But bring cans
Difficult on the Friday evening as that's when all the folk in tents are arriving and they have to go through the arena security so everyone is getting searched.
Saturday is a bit more relaxed and there are ways and means
They do sell cans at £2 each, so it's not all bad, problem is though they are not always cold and there can be a queue! ( They don't even have to pour them!)
Stendhal really need to change their ways and start a free flow policy, it's really the only thing that ruins it a bit. It's the only one we still attend that don't allow you in with your own drink.

Thanks Ally, was in a black hole (Malin Beg - silver strand in Donegal) for yesterday and today, no mobile service at all and definitely no TV signal.
Thanks for the info. Will aim to have a supply of cans for the duration so.
See you there.
Ally if you bring a sticker for us I will bring some dosh. Is it a good flat field or will we need levellers? I don't even know where you go for it! We are arriving either Thurs night or Fri morning.

We have our own craic area, so tell "Owen" on the way in that you are Motorhomecraic and want in that area. The field is a good one, very level and just a gradual slope.

DAMN IT!! Broken down near Draperstown! Hit a very uneven junction and there was a loud bang from the front left.
Seems to be suspension related as it down on the left side.
Waiting for the AA to arrive to tow us to a mechanic in Draperstown. Fingers crossed we can get back on the road today and make it to the festival.
The beers are staring at me! (As well as the kids!!)

Thanks.
A mechanic stopped and took a quick look. We have busted a spring. Hopefully will be a quick enough fix. Just waiting to get it towed now.
Fingers crossed.

Hi Martin, we got sorted and arrived at stendhal at 6pm.
£160 all in but that’s the price of motorhoming!
Met Ally, & I now know how he ‘transports’ the green cans! I’ll say no more. 🤫

Great festival and great to meet some Craic-ers Thanks for all the tips and the awning wind in wouldn't have wanted to come back to the van wrapped up like a parcel! Our wagon struggled to get back over the mountain road was in third gear near the top and leaning forward in the seat like I could tip her over the top...

What a great festival! The kids had an amazing time! We weren’t too sure how it would work out with them but needn’t have worried. If you are (as we were) a little hesitant don’t be. The kids are really well catered for and it is really family friendly.
We (adults) had a great time, met some craic’rs (not everyone we wanted to - so maybe next time), enjoyed some great music and the food was pretty good. Beer was a little pricey at £3 a can but we came up with a ‘transport’ technique of our own.
Definitely signing up for next year!
