A fantastic warm welcome from Anne on arrival. Anne showed me around the spotless facilities and told us that the local pub (400 yards) had food and music on a Saturday night. Half the site is hard standing, Anne weeds this by hand as she doesn't want chemicals affecting her patrons dogs. The other half is on grass which is firm and perfectly stripped by the mower. The toilet block and power showers are great. Anne and her husband Trevor have a barn on the site where they have a stove and join their guests for a bit of craic. Lovely spot, I will definitely be returning.

I stayed on the night before the leisure show at Eikon, as it was quite near. Anne said that there is a 2 mile and a 4 mile quiet road loops for walking. It's close to the edge of Lough Neagh.

Is this place far from lough Neagh edge? I am wondering is it worth visiting and bring our kayaks along. They are a great hangover cure for a craic meet!!!

The site is about 400 or 500 hundred yards from Lough Neagh. Maicolm. Unfortunately I didn't ask about access points or closest pier etc but will do on my next visit. The owners husband has an amphibious personnel carrier which he takes onto the lough occasionally which i presume means there is access close by.

Just had a look at google and The local pub The Gate (400yds ) appears to have a launching ramp and jetty.

There is a number code for the gates. When you book Anne gives you the code. It means that she doesn't have to be there all the time and prevents unwelcome guests from pitching up. All are welcome
