We are having a change from our usual routine this year, a change in work's holidays means travelling in August, rather than July.
So, we were considering a fortnight around Scotland, possibly visiting the Orkneys. Will the amount of extra people in August ruin the Scotland experience, or does Scotland not generally get that much holiday traffic anyhow?
Also, we're well used to the continent in July, if our plans changed and we did decide to head overseas, would you see a considerable upturn in holidayers in August as opposed to July? and would sites, etc. all need to be pre booked rather than our normal "winging it"type travel arrangements?
