Was in Killarney during the week without the camper and came across this place Kells Bay Gardens

Really interesting sub tropical gardens and a brand new rope bridge claiming to be Ireland's longest rope bridge. Definitely gets the heart pumping. Nice waterfall as well. €8 for an adult, well worth the money.

Note water does not fall sideways, can't figure how to rotate image 90 degrees

It's approximately 13km after Glenbeigh heading towards Caherciveen. There is a right turn, sign posted Kells Bay House & Gardens.

Parked down at ross castle a few times during the summer with no problems. There was always a good few campers around. We used to move off during the day and come back in the evening so we wouldn't be interfering with visitors to the castle parking during the day

I generally overnight in campsites. Having said that we had a look at the pier in Kenmare and I think SWMBO was happy enough with it to chance an overnight on our next trip to Kerry.

Take s look at Helen's Bar Kilmackillogue Pier, co Kerry on google maps. You can park in the carpark across from the pub. Food is good and reasonable, pint not bad either.
