Any suggestion for a hassle free, parking-up-for-night place at or near Cherbourg, near the town, for a VW LWB Hard Top camper?
Many trips to France but never parked up for night at Cherbourg.

Thanks.

If you are happy to be about 20 minutes or so from Cherbourg the Aire in Briquebec is lovely. It is on the d900. The town is a nice medieval place too.

I parked last Saturday night at the Waiting Park for the ferry and had a good nights sleep. There were 5 other vans there and they all agreed it was very handy. I could see the different signs for the ferry lanes and there's a filling station/shop just across the road.

Always hearing about briquebec will have to give it a try next week usually use Valognes campsite, great showers before the ferry crossing
