on my holidays and heading through England then France and into Spain. Its the first big trip in the motorhome and I am looking forward to it (a lot). I will drop in from time to time to make sure everyone is behaving themselves

Just to update everyone, I have now arrived at the hacienda in Spain, spent the first night at Calais in the aire at the beach. The main one was full but plenty of room at the other one opposite the yacht club, but you have to drive around to the main one to get any facilities all for the princely sum of €7.
We spent a second night near Chambord at a municiple site which was lovely and quiet and a short stroll into the village to the local cafe, there was a pizza van on site which was getting a bit of trade. The site was €11 for the night.
We then headed further south to Narbone, and spent the night on a local aire, which was one of around 4 or 5 plus a municiple site which was full. The aire was jammed packed and I don't think I have seen as many motorhomes in one place. We had stopped off earlier at the Milau bridge and took a few photos. The aire cost €6 plus extra if you needed water or electric.
We made the final jump today to Catalunia and can now put our feet up once I have cleaned the pool out!
The van behaved impeccably and had no problems and averaged around 31mpg
Weather wise it was ok through England and rained all the way to Chambord, it was bright and warm for our tour of the chateaux then rained until we got to the other side of the massif central then warmed up the rest of the way and is now around 35 deg.
I will put up my Here I Am locations once I have sat down and sorted them out, everyone at home said we took the rain with us and I have to say until yesterday evening I had to agree with them, I have now sent it first class back to everyone in Ireland after all it's summer and you all need the rain lol.
It was a mixture of both, we probably spent about €80, but we wanted to go via Milau to look at the bridge.
