We are off to France on Friday. Won't be too long on our own as on Tuesday of

following week one son and two grandsons are flying into Nantes to join us for 1 week.

The boys are aged 12 and 2, so we'll be busy!

We would welcome any recommendations on ACSI sites. Pools, slides will be high on the

List!

Don't know any Acsi-campsites. But your grandsons will love de huge mechanical animals of Nantes. Take a ride on the elpehant! Les macines de l'Île. They'll enjoy Le Puy du Fou too. Historical replays. As far as I know, there are audoiguides in English available.

There's an enormous Motorhome parking area in the park itself, we stayed for 2 nights last year with our 3. Toilets, waste disposal, water etc no EHU. Free bus takes you into the park and back again. Can't remember the cost around €15 per night or less. They'll love it. Also it's cheaper to buy the tickets for the park online and it also saves you queuing the morning you arrive. Think we got ours on Ticketmaster.fr.

We then spent the rest of the trip in campsites in the Vendee region - saved a very early start and paying fly shuttle bus etc.

By the way heard great things about La Garangeoire for when you've finished- page 146 in the ACSI book :)

Thanks for the suggestions Peter and Adi. We have booked Puy du Fou for Wednesday and Thursday of next week and probably stay in the aire.
Definitely going to see the Mechanical Elephant in Nantes.
Hopefully things will fall into place when we get there . Looking forward to the 3 days on our own before the mayhem begins!
