Found this amazing resource on French Aires

For your motorhome road trip in France, an interactive map checks the motorhome Service Areas available to you wherever you are, accompanied with a panoramic vision and an extended map of Additional Service Areas.

http://www.panoramic-camping-rest-area-motorhome-france.com/

Looks like a work in progress, with only the North West covered atm

Not free but really good book which we used this year quite a few times, well worth the price as 1 or 2 nights pays for the book. There are quite a few free Aires in the book esp inland.

Thanks for the link Nipper
I will have a look at that. We are in Leucate on the med at the moment. Have the book mentioned too but might see if there is anything nice on the link when we head north again

Looks like the website is going to cover the whole of France eventually. We need on of those for all of Ireland, what you think?

Never been to Leucate, just had a wee peep on Googlemap & it looks great. We've been to Cap d'Agde just around the coast heading towards Montpellier, fantastic spot with a aire right in the middle of things :)

Enjoy the rest of you trip!
