Looking at doing a trip up to the Giants Causeway soon and was hoping someone could recommend a good place to park our camper, Also as our first time up there any other points of interest you feel like sharing are much appreciated,

Have never used it but I am sure you can use the Park & Ride in Bushmills to park the van & visit Giants Causeway.

Park and Ride in Bushmills is fine. Park by reversing into the wedge shaped spaces just to the left of the 'clubhouse' for the adjoining sports field. Parking is free, the toilets are open from about 0800 to about 2000 each day. There are several bars, restaurants and a supermarket all within 5 mins walk.

If you really want a site Ballyness Caravnsite is about a mile outside Bushmills village.

Other places local are Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, Ballintoy harbour (Ring of Thrones), Bushmills Distillery, Dunluce Castle.

At the Giants Causeway the entrance fee to the visitor centre is now about £10 per person. You do not need to go to the visitor centre as you can walk around it to the access road down to the actual causeway.

I did the visitor centre a couple of years ago as I had a membership for the National Trust at the time and I came away thinking "thank goodness I didn't have to pay for that load of rubbish" it was very disapointing for what they charge.

Agree with the park & ride, stayed there last year for the salmon festival and it was a quiet spot.

Yes there were 3 Motorhomes in the park and ride in Bushmills this morning, also if you are going out from Bushmills and go past the turnoff for the Giants causeway there is a house with Caravan and Motorhome parking at the back of it.
There is a sign up but not sure of charges but there seems to be people useing it.

We stayed in Ballyness last weekend, possibly the cleanest and most organised campsite we've stayed in on the island of Ireland. Only 10mins drive to Causeway, we found it really convenient for visiting most of the sights. Good facilities for children too - lovely playground, soccer pitch, big barn with snooker and pool tables and other games (all free!) for children

I don't know but I know it's not cheap. I suppose one gets what they pay for?

We stopped over in the Park and Ride on Saturday night last, our first night staying in a parking area. There were about a half dozen motorhomes in total. It was a quiet and peaceful stay, the only disturbance was from passing silage crews late into the evening but that's par for the course anywhere at this time of year. It's worth noting that the CoOp Supermarket across the road is open from 7am until 11pm which is particularly convenient when touring.

It was 27pounds stg, 2adults and 2children. Not cheap but given the wet weekend, there was lots to do there indoors for the children.
