Andersons Thatched Pub at Elphin Road, Carrick-on-Shannon www.andereonspub.com is a lovely place to stop over, the owner and staff are very friendly, irish tradional music some nights, open every night, we had a really good time there, recommend it, they really make us feel welcome, free motorhome overnight stop.

been on mccni list for years, one of the first pubs to actively welcome mhomers.

if you are there on your own or feel a bit public in the car park, open the gate behind pub and park in beside cottage beside water tap.

there is also a toilet behind cottage.

a washing machine is at the back of the cottage if req also.

best nights are a wed for set dancing and fri sat for music.

doesnt open till about 8 or so and closes when he gets tired!!

Anderson's pub (The Thatch) is one of our haunts and we call regularly all year round. The guinness is great ,the craic is always great,and you are made very welcome.Music on wednesday,sat,sunday nights and you are encouraged to join in if you play anything or can sing or recite a poem.Oh! and the irish coffees are famous for rounding off the night. Magic spot! dont miss it if you in the area.

Just stayed here, one night, Friday. Great spot, very quiet...3 kids on board. Quaint pub.
