just returned from a trip to Ulster and had a really great time
The Quays Portavogie - is a very good stop over, really good food, very good car park friendly staff
The CUAN Strangford - once again great food and friendly staff, parking on the quay by the ferry terminal, once again quite and peacefull with good views across the lough.
Katch 27 in Kircubbin good food , parking just behind in large area by the lough
Saltwater brig just outside Kircubbin
Wildfowlers Inn ,Greyabby, Kircubbin, did not stop but they told us we could use the public car park by the Inn
Cushendon - plenty of parking by the side of the river/seafront, small pub in village
Generally we found that in Co Down round Strangford lough there was plenty of parking to be found with very little areas barriered off. Unlike Co Antrim , we took the coastal trail to Giants Causeway-Portrush and were shocked and disappointed by the general need to have very low barriers in place in the majority parking areas, with many of them in beautifull seaside, fishing villages we passed thro!!!
however we will be back thought it was lovely and the craic was really good
so any thoughts on the Co Antrim parking would be good
cheers
Len
