looked at the pricing and its a bit unfair that tents are half the price of a motorhome considering that motorhomes require less facilities to those in tents!

Love the "Public campsite - Booking Essential" then the website "No pre booking required. Just turn up and check in. "

I use to go every year and everyone was in one place you paid for one or two nights,
There was no entry fee after that there was as much going on at night as the day
now the campsite is a half mile away in a field with only plastic toilets to look at
and the sound of gennys, and if it's wet it's a swamp make sure you bring your towing eye
and a big four wheel drive will slip your pride and joy to the road, progress I suppose.

We went for years also, used to show cars at it. It can be very messy alright, but if you have never been it's worth going too.

It certainly is, there's as much going on at at night for people staying over as there is in the day. The Station pub was open until very late and there was a band, not to mention the engines puffing away nearby . I found the camping field to be fine, level, not too far from events and we'll drained. We're 5 ton and had no problem.
