Just back from short trip to this caravan park. Arrived Thursday, only us staying. Few more caravans and campers arrived last night/this morning. Good facilities, all seemed clean and well kept. River runs beside and there is a gravel beach where you can have campfire (wood available at reception). Loads of on site activities for kids.
Rathdrum has a few restaurants, pubs and takaways and is less than 10 mins walk (uphill!) But path all the way.
Lovely spot for walking, Avondale Park couple of kms away. There is a loop walk that you can start at the caravan park gate. Its 6.5kms, easy, mostly through forest.
We enjoyed our stay. Although it wouldn't be for us during school holidays, we will definitely return mid-week off season.

Stayed here at the weekend with my 2 tykes. They had a great time - never bored ( there's a first ). Good facilities, plenty of space even though it was busy with a mix of motorhomes, caravans and tents. Did hear of an X box having been stolen from a motorhome over the weekend so beware, but I guess this can happen anywhere - thieves will take any opportunity. Not the cheapest site but lots to do on site, well organised, helpful staff and we will return.

Was there the June Bank Holiday weekend Sat / Sun with the 3 year old grandson. He had a ball. Excellent child friendly site with loads for them to do. Even has a boating lake with canoes and pedal boats. There was a movie night for the older kids. Cafe on site so you can grab a bag of chips. Huge playground.
Not cheap by any means but one of the best run sites we've been on.
We also had a first, we got a VAT invoice, you pay by card online.
