Hi folks. Just back from a fab 4 weeks in France. We drove 2800 kms, stayed on 8 campsites, 3 aires and 1 municipal site. Weather was very mixed but a great time was had by all.
While there the DVD on my TV/DVD combo packed up and my 85a/hr leisure battery packed up too!! The TV is 6 yrs old and is a 12v and 15" lcd model.
I'm wondering if any of you good people can advise on the costs of these two items would be?
As always free beer for the responces posted on here..............Hobey

I have an Avtex, whether it is just a fluke or whether the tuner is far superior I am not sure, but has happened a few times, other Motorhomes with the same aerial at the same place and they cannot get as many channels as the Avtex. Picture quality is excellent also. No Saorview though.

My 85 am/h battery packed up some months ago I fitted 2 x 110ah batteries an led tv / DVD unit. No more hook up. Way to go. Got the batteries from Donal Buckly Caravans Mallow Co Cork. Also just back from France after 8 weeks also found the weather very mixed. Even went as far as going to Italy and Switzerland but the weather was even worse. Enjoyed 15 days sunshine in a row in San Tropez then the rain came and came and came so we kept watching the weather forecast and tried to go where we thought the sun might shine. Traveled 4000 km in all. Roll on next year.

Avtex are the best Tv out there at this time for campers etc but they are the most expensive :( apart from reception the viewing angle is much better than others.
Re France its been hit and miss this past month we had some good weather around la Rochelle then headed south to the mountains and over into Spain before coming through Andorra then across to the Med and spending a few weeks going up the coast with blue skies but the temp was a tad hot at 30 deg in the shade. Headed back though Millau and up to Rochelle again. Great trip until we got back home to the crappy wet weather here. Fingers crossed we get some summer soon :D
