I think one of the hotels near the airport do deals on parking rates for people flying abroad, at competitive rates compared to the airport- might be worth calling them and seeing if they'd be ok with you parking there, if they are getting the parking fee? Used to be Bewleys, think it's a Clayton Hotel now.

If it was me I'd book in late Saturday and stay overnight the catch the shuttle next morning

Although is is perfectly ok to allow On Post to use it to overnight their overflow of Vans on a commercial rate .
Tourist are welcome if you arrive on the Dart and go home again. But do not stay overnight.
