Not sure if this has been talked about before but has anyone experienced the cold spot around the feet of the passenger in the front of the X250/X290 Ducato/Boxer/Relay cab? SWMBO who I must say is always cold was complaining about her feet being cold no matter what, being cured by the heat blasting around her feet and me suffocating with it. However I did a bit of research on the internet and it turns out there could be a possible cause and cure for it.
Apparently under the van on the passenger side if you crawl underneath and look up at the chassis, in line with the fuel filler there are two vents attached to the chassis and these are the problem. They are fitted to all vans as they are supposed to allow pressure relief when closing the doors on a bulk head fitted van. As the motorhomes dont have a bulk head and more vents than a leaking ship they are surplus to requirement and can be blocked off by either taping them up or fitting the appropriate part.
I did mine during the week and I have to say it seems to have made a bit of difference with no noticeable cold spot.
