Hi all,
Wer going on 1st trip to UK mainland and will be arriving in Holyhead after midnight as I not keen on night driving can anyone advise of anywhere near the Port to stop for the night don't mind paying if necessary. :up:

We are heading over on 11/7 and will arrive around that time and had thought about staying in a car park either in the port or at the Tesco car park which is just off the A55 as you head out of Holyhead. But if someone has a better suggestion!

Thanks for that wer going on the 10/7 as yet no experience of "wild camping" unsure where its legal or permitted to stop.

Exiting from ferry......turn back on yourself....through town, following security fence. Left at the end of the road....up the hill, you then get to road overlooking yacht club. Room for parking....quite.......and free........or follow signs for hospital....past hospital.....park on your right, overlooking sea.

Just to update this i was at the yacht club last week and theres a no overnight parking sign so thats out!

When I was over I found a decent spot not far from the ferry it's now in the poi section

Yeah I used that in November and it's quite good and handy.

Yeah they also allow folk to stay in the Dock area but it's very noisy during the night.
