Hi there,

It is possible to live on Motorhome on Bray or near south of Dublin? Legaly and at low cost of parking?

I am from Brazil and i will work on Dublin for more than 3 years... I am seing the rental prices and i am not liking at all... So why not live on motorhome? There are thousands of people in Brazil tha does that! :)

My concern are:

- Safe place?
- It is affordable?
- Have basic infrastructure to support a small family living on Motorhome?

If you have any tips.. Or if you need also information about trip to Brazil using Motorhomes... You are mostly welcome,

I would think you could end up in trouble with the law staying in a motorhome in one place for any length of time apart from a campsite, other issues are where are you going to empty your toilet and waste, also the winters will be very cold without burning a lot of gas. You could look at staying longterm on a site but that plus the cost of the motorhome may make it as expensive as renting a property.

There may also be issue with insurance but i cant be sure. If memory serves me correctly I think the condition of insurance was that it wasnt your primary vehicle or a permanent residence. But i could be wrong there.

Very good friend of mine is a Brazilian.
His wife and himself lived in Dublin for 3 years........
Moved to Donegal, rent 25% of that in Dublin, less wages but overall much better off.
Simple solution, get out of Dublin.
Unless you know someone who owns a substantial property to let you park up, you will find it almost impossible to do what you are thinking........ even then it would be illegal and in every likelihood invalidate the landowners insurance and your own too.

You will need a permanent address for banking, pps number, health insurance, school, ect, this country is not as good as you may be led to believe. You have seen the cost of accommodation in Dublin and it is very hard to get. If you have any type of decent job in Brazil think twice.

Well... So it is almost imposible to do that.

Thank you all for the answers.

Maybe someday i will buy a terrain that i can create a infrastructure to receive one good motorhome.. We have here in Brazil SantoInacio Motorhomes that are more comfortable than any small appartment. :)

It is a good idea... Acquire terrains and prepare it to receive two or three medium size motorhome.

Thank you all again and when i arrived in Dublin i will try to travel with my wife with a rented motorhome.

:)

You could look at the option of buying a mobile home on a serviced site they start around €4K upwards and then there is a an annual fee after that
There are many mobile home parks in the area you are looking to live at
