Stainless Steel Exhaust

I'm just after getting a stainless steel exhaust system fitted with a lifetime warranty. I couldn't find anyone to give me a fixed price on replacing my exhaust as the standard Ducato one wouldn't fit without alterations. I had this custom made stainless one done at ExhaustWorx, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin and I'm thrilled with it. Highly recommended!

That's something you will not have to worry about again John. What do the process involve, do they have drawings for the original and have it ready to fit when you arrive or is it the old one copied when you get there and then made? if so how long do it take to manufacture and fit? and are they much dearer than the standard exhaust?

Hi Pat,
Yes you're right I won't have to worry about it anymore as they give a guarantee for the life of the motor home. I think the normal process is that they ask you to come in and they measure it all up but I'm on the west Limerick north Kerry border so they asked if I would mind measuring the the length and diameter of the two silencer boxes which I did and they then gave me a price. When I got there about a week later they took the old system off and fabricated the new one, they had already ordered in the two silencers and they then made up the whole system to suit with all new stainless steel pipes, flanges, mounts and new rubbers and I was very impressed with the quality of the welding. The whole job was from from 8.30 until 2.00 pm and cost 549.00 Euro. It wasn't cheap but I think it was worth it as the warranty is transferable to a new owner.

Hi Max,
The price was 549.00 and it seems a bit quieter than before. Please the reply I gave to Pat for more info.

Lovely work. Expensive but certainly looks like it was worth it.
