I totally agree. I use it every time we are going away. it is so easy to simply select a site and let it send the coordinates to google maps.

we need to get a few more sites on the app. I incorrectly assumed that all reviews on the site automatically transferred to the app but they dont. I have added a few sites that I had reviewed but we need to try and get more. From what i can see there are a number of websites listing various camp sites but no single site that offers a comprehensive list of all (or as many as possible) sites. The Motorhome Parking App could provide this if we keep adding POI's.

I agree but the details must be good.
I recently made a comment to Ally about some of the reviews. Someone was adding such poor location details the map was showing the wrong country. The spelling and grammar was so poor it was almost impossible to understand the information.

I agree, there is no point in putting a review on the map if the location is wrong. The beauty of the app is that you can link to Google Maps for directions. Bit of a pain if you suddenly realise that the site isnt where is shows on the map.

Why don't people use either Google earth or their satnav to get the exact coordinates?

With the app its easier that that. If you are at the location you can select "use your current position". If not the app gives you the option to "select point on map". It couldnt be easier.

The reviews I saw mustn't have been done via the app or they were added after leaving and the location was guessed.

That's usually the case or that the phone/tablet etc doesn't have a GPS receiver built in so can't pinpoint an exact location. I usually check any I have done as I do the reviews while sat at home on the PC.

I wish the ones I saw were checked by the author John.
There were some possibly good locations added and ruined all in one.

Reviews and POI's that are sent in via the APP and either contain no co ordinates or sometimes make no sense, someones driveway?! yes we have had that, they do not get added to the APP.

Reviews that are added to the review section on MHC, get checked periodically. If the location is correct but the review has other problems, I edit it the best i can. If the location is wrong and I can't work out where it is supposed to be as there is not enough information, I delete the review.

If in doubt when adding a review, PM/Email myself, I can edit it and add photos if need be.
