All the free parking in Bangor becomes pay and display next week. I have no intention of paying the doe any more money road tax is bad enough and the red gestapo are very active in this town.
I was thinking of an electric bike to go to work on .. its only about a mile and half each way. Has anyone ever used one?

Digger, why bother with an electric bike, just get an ordinary one and benefit from the exercise.

much better with an ordinary bike :-)

I delivered our motorhome to ballyclare this morning for a service, took my bicycle with me on the rack and then cycled home (14 miles). It was a somewhat leisurely trip but a great start to the day.

go on - give it a go!

I have an electric bike for the last 11 months and I use it most days to get to work (a round trip of 22 kms). I used it through most of the winter and have now done just over 1, 700km on it- almost the same mileage as annual car mileage. If you're using it regularly get a decent bike - mine cost just under €1,000 but I availed of the bike to work scheme and get tax relief. Good luck.
