Now that's it's time to do a bit of work around the m/home my first job is to move the heating water heater control as it is stuck in the most useless place you have to climb over the bed to get at it so I deceived to move it to the other side of the wardrobe beside the other controls after getting the wires fed through a new hole fitted the controller and now it's in a better spot even the enemy can get at it now I have also put a new fan in below the bed as the heater gives out a lot of heat which is trapped under the bed so now the fan puts the heat into the living area more things to do but that's for another day

My next mod was to put a light under the bed when I lifted the bed I could see nothing. So I had an old led light but I didn't want to fit a on off switch so I fitted a micro switch that when I lift the bed the light comes on and when I put the bed down it switches the light of itself

I'm going to move the water heater switch up beside the other switches, and put another roof light above the bed, ever who designed the interior of chausson needs sacked everything's in the silliest places,I'm also going to put a heater vent under the side facing seat as we keep sheets and some clothes so the small amount of heat will help keep things from getting damp

Got to agree with you about the design of the interior of the Chausson. In ours, the switch for the main light is in the corner behind the seating and very hard to get to. You are giving me ideas ... time to move it :D

Water heater switch now moved, now just have to wait on parts coming so I can move on. I'm also going to fit a second leisure batt and have found the right spot for it but that will come later, also look where the toilet is why have they not put it along the back wall which would give a lot more room I might move it

Just be aware too many modifications, especially big ones like moving the toilet will devalue your Motorhome when you go to sell it. People like Originality.

Personally I agree. If I were looking at s/h motorhome to buy and I saw even some modifications, my mind would head in the direction of "I wonder what I can't see"...

By the way, I came across a good read on fitting second leisure batteries recently. Well worth a read, especially about the optimal way to wire them together. Most of you may know this already but that wiring scheme was a new one on me and makes good sense.

That toilet position is daft for sure.

No Robert, we no longer have the Chausson but it was a different layout and also it was the only thing we didn't like about that Motorhome, the Toilet ,Shower area was too small.

Latest two mods put a light in the back so when I switch on at door I get light back and front and as I said before I've put a heartier vent under the side seat even tho it looks closed it lets in just enough heat to kill any cold so should keep any clothes from getting damp

Hi
I want to change my heater switch as well as I think whoever designed it to be where it is was Drunk at the time. 🇧🇭
How is this switch mounted,as I couldn't figure it out.The thing is there is a long cable on it and it's just cable tied together,so should be abe to move it without having to extend the wires.
How did you route the cable to your new position, did you have to remove the Fridge or Oven etc.
With the new Fan under the Bed,How is it wired up or where did you take the feed from
Thanks in Advance
