Cost of ferries to France

We are hoping to go to France at the end of June and coming home the end of July. We have got prices, and no price was less than
€1200 +, we have gone to France for the last 6 years and never paid this amount. ..any suggestions please.

Irish ferries prices start to increase around 10th June and don't cme down until mid August. School holidays dictate higher prices.
Try to travel outside these dates if you can. Sometimes it is less if you sail on a week day. Weekends can be more expensive.
