Explanation please

Ok, I'm new to Motorhoming.

All these abbreviations I keep seeing, I'm sure they all make perfect sense to you all

Think I have them all worked out..

CC&C - Caravand and Camping Club
CC - Caravan Club?
CL - Camping Location ?

Then I seen all these on Wildcamping forum

CR - car park rural
CU - car park urban

LR - layby rural
LU - layby urban

OR - other rural location
OU - other urban location

PH - pub stopover

Any others? :?

The we get to camp sites, am I correct that there is only one club site in NI? what about ROI?

In GB do you need to be a member of that club to gain access to their site?

As for the wild camping abreviations, I have never seen them before.

CL = Certified Location i.e. certified bt the club (either Caravan or CC&C)

There is

ICCC = Irish caravan and camping club
IMCC = Irish motorcaravan club

nor have I but it would seem they are trying to get organised at the moment and try to get Aires across Ireland..

We came back from Glastonbury Festival with the caravan in tow, stopped in the Lake District. Came to a campsite with "non club members allowed"

Guy seemed very pleased to see us, said he had been waiting on us - talk about confusion

He then realised we were not the ones from "the club" that he was expecting and his mood changed, he gave us a crap area. I wasn't to happy, demanded my money back and left.

Hence my question on some GB sites do you have to be a member to get on the site?
