I'd recommend the carpark area outside the Quay's bar. Very popular spot for motorhomes.

The Tourist Office has said that the door staff of The Quays keep an eye on the car park area when the Saturday night music on to discourage any messing, so while there may be a bit of noise around chucking out time it should be safe enough.

CLICK HERE for a street view of the area, MH's usually park at the far end, beyond where you can see a minibus.

Jaysis, they could do with updating the street maps in Youghal! This one looks to be at least 4-5 years old. No sign of the fancy white shades they installed over the car parking area years ago.

Parking is tight directly outside the bar, but there's usually more room at the southern end of the carpark. Bigger motorhomes tend to park parallel with the sea wall on the far end of the carpark.

I knew I had a few photos somewhere...

It's a bit tight under "the umbrellas", but some folks still manage...

I've also seen MH's parked on the cork side of Youghal, by the Walter Raleigh Hotel. The ground is not level, so plenty of wheel chocks would be needed.

Is parking free or is there a charge?

No fee. but there is (was) a sign saying there is a 3hr parking limit. Not sure if the sign is still there. Having said that, we've seen plenty of van's 'parked' there late in the evening so it looks like the limit isn't being enforced.

thank you for the info on Youghal, spent the night there and had nice meal in the Quay's bar. Moved on to Cobh were there are 30 overnight spaces by the seafront!! Going to Kinsale next, hoping to find some parking there.
