I had one and found it very good, you do need to make sure it's a proper angle on the cylinder to get an accurate reading. When I put in refillable bottles I passed it on to Dave as I didn't really need it.

I got one of those gas checker pens from Motorhomeparts and i find it works very well. Totally agree with Ally on getting the angle right. It certainly beats lifting the bottle out and trying to guess how much gas you have left
