i don't know if anyone else has posted this already, but we went to one of our favourite aires this week and sadly found it closed. There were signs up saying only cars could park there, and there were no vans parked up.I asked the police, and they told me it had been closed for a couple of months. It's in the Vicarious Aires Guide so I thought I would warn people. The services on the street still work.

We saw a few vans parked up in a Repsol garage on the road to Chipiona, but it's not the same.
We opted to stay at SanlucarAC private aire costing 10 euro. It's nice, and on the coast with a few bars nearby and there's a bus in, but it's not like being in the town.

We were there a couple of years ago, on our way up from Gib. Lovely spot. Sad news.

Thanks for that,definitely useful information.
if you are still in the area, the local police used to direct motorhomers to "las tres Piedras, just south of Chipiona.
This is a popular spot for local vans and has an amazing boardwalk all the way into town.
Worth a look on google maps and with the proviso that as at Sanlucar-nothing stays the same, there have been various times when the vans have been moved only to be reinstated by the Mayor!
Best not to park at the beach huts but across the "road" is the place on pure sand and ok in wet weather.
We found it to be a great cycling area ,off road and safe, you can also cycle south to the golfing resorts which will be very quiet in the winter months.
