In UK at moment, and for another 2 weeks. (Devon at moment) as most ACSI sites down here.
Have Britstops too.

Considering external thermal covers for windscreen for our A class Burstner Aviano.
We don't have cab doors so will need studs. Over here we have wifi briefly, so don't have time to do a search through MHC previous posts.

Do we go for silver screens in W Yorks, or Polar Technology in Sheffield?

Have both phone numbers but not got through yet so don't know if you have to book well in advance and how long it takes.
Silver Screens just have a P O box number.

I take it you cannot buy them in Ireland. ?

Hi,

Enjoy your trip to the UK. I have silver screens on my Motorhome. It is an A class but uses the the passenger door and driver window. They are padded and are very efficient. Not cheap, but they are regarded very highly by members of motorhomefacts (the major UK forum). Comments on there regard them as the market leaders. External screens are also regarded as much more efficient than internals.

I have no experience of polar technology.

When dealing with silver screens, they asked for photos to ensure the correct item was sent. I emailed them and got a phone number. They had mine in stock and posted it same day. I should have their phone number somewhere and will post it later.

Post to ROI seems to be a common problem, although there are threads on here about an agency that acts as a forwarding address for you. I dare say someone will give you a link. Failing that, you could have them sent to me and collect them next time you are up at Tollymore.

Phoned Silver Screens, they might have one for our Burstner Aviano, will let us know tomorrow, we don't have cab doors and they fit around sliding Windows, which I think are tight enough to close.
Has anyone else got external screen but no cab doors only a habitation door?

Wifi has been erratic here in England and not had it for a few days but we have got our external thermal covers.
Phoned silver screens last week, they said it would take 48 hrs after w/e, but Polar Technology said they could do on Mon morning and it took 2 hrs.
Chose them as we wanted to head to Lake District before going home.

Used 3 Britstops and visited one that sold organic foods.
Used ACSI in Cornwall and Devon and in one in N.Wales.
We have been very lucky with weather with 33 deg for a few days, better than France in May/June, never expected it this time of year.

Glad it all worked out for you and you got a bit of decent weather.
