We had Butane in the last Van and Propane in the present one, I cant say that I see any difference, only it is harder to source Propane.
We got the last Bottle for €20, surely that is a mistake?

Butane varies widely in price from my experience Pat
My local filling station €34.50
The filling station on Sligo road out of carrack on Shannon €27.50 and a free torch
In Roscommon town €29.00

I changed from butane to propane but I didn't have the van long enough to notice a major difference, the fridge was running bad and the advise I got when the lads in Donagheys serviced it was to use propane, so it's been propane since and no bother

Up here the butane was £19.00 and the propane £16.40 or so unless the bloke made a mistake but I'm going tomorrow to get another tank before he catches on this is for a 6kg tank

I believe propane gas is a cleaner gas . Less carbon deposits sticking to the flue of the fridge so less maintainence :D :D :D
