Not had time to do a full blog which would normally have a link from my website so have pulled this from my Facebook page .Its not a detailed summery so if anyone wants any info just askAnd will try to add some pics .
Southern Ireland ......Did a month last year ,(not had time to do blog) I went over via Dublin , stopping at Howth for a couple of days you can get a train to Dublin from here (may now have problems with the masses stopping for days/weeks) After a day in Maynooth (my roots) over to a waterways stop at Lowtown marina near Robertstown ,all facilities here and you can buy a waterways card for about €10 for showers etc which you can use on all waterways. From here to Athlone for a meet with Motorhome Craic at a campsite (Lough Ree east) http://loughreeeast.wixsite.com/loughreeeast/. Then over to Galway parking by the harbour ,then Lisdoonvarna (matchmaking festival) parking in the leisure centre car park. (pay at tourist info in town ),then down the Atlantic way, Doolin ,Cliffs of Mohey etc .Ferry over to Tabert €20 or drive round to Limerick. There is an aire close by at Askeaton (by the swimming baths) but when i was there it was a bit of a mess and its also close to Rathkeale .Worth a visit close to here is Drommineer marina another waterways site and then visited Adare they say is the prettiest village in the south also has a nice campsite Adare camping €20 a night inc elect and wifi (maybe a bit below average price and good site ).The Dingle coast is worth doing and see the dolphin ,parking just through Dingle at Paddy Oshea's pub at Ventry. Ring of Kerry (make sure you do it the right way round) motorhome stopover at Sneem. There are 20 motorhome bays at Cobh which is worth a visit and you can train it into Cork from there .Jaimeson distillery has an aire outside and is also worth a tour .Copper coast has some stunning views. Lighthouse at Hook head i wildcamped on the front. Wexford, Curracloe beach is a good stop or Ballinesker Beach just down the road is quieter and a bit further up the coast Greystones has motorhome parking (train to Dublin). Then your back at Dublin.
