Jinny I'm a member but you will not get full cover anymore as non German resident...eg u won't get repatriation. I'm using my cousins address in germany for dull cover. Check the reduced cover against dolmens Europe breakdown...might be little difference.

Yes. Only Germany. That suits me but I'm sure not many others. I suspect many ADAC members outside Germany have not been made fully aware of this restriction which seems to have only kicked in properly this year.

I renewed my cover with ADAC early July and asked did I have full cover living in Ireland, including repatriation, the answer was Yes.

Hi vino. I have called adac in june. I was in germany in july and got my fluent german speaking cousin to call them too in case i was missing some subtleties. I am confident they DO NOT give full benefits cover anymore to non german residents. I have also received confirmation of this in writing which was delivered from munich adac hq whilst i was away. Im disappointed they no longer provide the cover that they had provided me with in the past. I am still a memver but repatriation to ireland/uk no longer possible.

Thanks for the info, will wait until renewal is due next year and check with them again. If they put it in writing then it must be the case, it's a pity as they offered a great package.

In relation to your post Vino I used the number you quoted and requested an English speaker, he quite categorically assured me that they will definitely repatriate to NI or any country in the EU. He stated the only time they wouldn't repatriate the van was if it was a complete wreck. I asked him about only repatriation to Germany and he said why would we only do that, we repatriate to your home.
