Robbed - Mugged - beaten up

My Niece and her boyfriend were beaten up and robbed in Perth Australia yesterday, they stole their money, bank cards, passports, driving licence, and they have cut's and bruises.

Aboriginie(sp?) crowd done it. The police were brilliant apparently and have took clothes for DNA etc

As they now have no passports, they can't get work, they can't get new bank cards and they can't sort out driving licenses until they get new ones. British Embassy has been pretty useless and gave them forms to apply for new passports but that's about it. 300 Aussie dollars for new passports, but they have just been robbed.

Welcome to Australia.

You would think they would be more helpful. I am sure the authorities have seen this before.

Cuts and bruises and fear, they just wanted to come home, but I think they have calmed down a bit now, Nephew is out there as well, he is helping with what he can.
