Ducato towing eye

Checked for towing eye the other weekend and it was missing, we park in a few muddy feels over the course of a year so need one.

Anyone know what to order for a 2009 Ducato? I am seeing 14mm thread and some 16mm thread - eeek

Not a clue,
BUT slip down to your local friendly hardware store and ask them can you take a 14 mm and a 16 mm bolt to see can you replace the "bolt" that is "missing from your camper
once you have the size,just return bolts and say they don't suit. :bandit:

That's exactly what I was going to suggest, when you know the thread size, a tow hook of any vehicle with the same thread should do, unless it is a long reach thing, also be aware metric bolts come with differnt pitch, fine thread or course

Quick phone call to fiat dealer should sort that for you, parts department should help :up:

think it would be 16mm ally but check your manual the thread would be different from standard bolts id say but a calipers or small ruler will give you the size you need and off to the nearest breakers yard with ye

Lot of towing eyes are left hand thread. And tons are also fine pitch thread that is uncommon.
Best looking in breakers yard.... Look up bridge van dismantles .... Good lads

Try your local farmers hardware. I was there today and they had various eyes and snap hooks etc.
