Anybody ever replaced the switch that operates the step.A red light on my dash tells me the step is still out....when it isn't . Fixed it a few times but I think this time it needs replaced. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There's a little push button (like the one on car door) that gets pressed when the step closes in and hits it,
They are a regular thing to go as they are under the van and get all the dirt salt and silt from the road whick cause it to get stuck,

Usually €2 in motor factors and one screw holds it in place
Make sure you get one with the little rubber boot on it to help keep out the dirt etc
