As most will know, Waterford Quays are a no-go area for MHs, due to the usual height barriers.
However, there is a Pay & Display car park in Bolton St, with NO height barriers.
Turn down side of Tower Hotel at the lights (Dunmore Rd) and take 1st right after about 250m.
From there its about 5 min walk to Quays etc., so it should suffice for a look around the city.

Received the following reply from Waterford City Council 20/06/2012 in response to an enquiry regarding MH parking.
Note, the suggestion is that overnight is OK.

At present the most suitable location for a self contained motorhome in Waterford City is the recently extended Bolton Street car-park. It is centrally located and such local attractions as The Theatre Royal, Waterford Crystal Centre, Bishop’s Palace Museum and the People’s Park are all within walking distance. Parking is charged at €1.00 per hour for the following times:

Normal Pay and Display Hours of Parking

Mon - Sat (excl. Fri) 08.30am - 18.30pm
Friday 08.30am - 21.30pm

Outside Normal Pay and Display Hours of Parking

A Pay and Display Ticket may be purchased after the hours listed above to commence at the start hours of the following morning.

Example 1 If a Pay and Display Ticket is purchased at 22.00pm (10.00pm) on Wednesday, the machine will issue a ticket which will commence at 08.30am on Thursday.

Example 2 If a Pay and Display Ticket is purchased at 22.00pm (10.00pm) on Saturday, the machine will issue a ticket which will commence at 08.30am on Monday. If Monday is a Bank Holiday the ticket will commence at 08.30am on Tuesday.

No disc is required outside the above times.

If I can be of anymore assistance please feel free to contact me again.
